- ➤ Joliet City Council approved a drive-thru for an upcoming Culver’s restaurant at the Rock Run Collection near the I-55 and Route 59 interchange. The new eatery will join a Chipotle and planned businesses like Chick-fil-A and Ricky Rockets Fuel Center in the 310-acre mixed-use development. Herald-News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Joliet approved the conditional annexation of 795 acres on the east side for a proposed data center campus. The phased project will start its first building in 2028 and is expected to bring billions in tax revenue and create hundreds of full-time & construction jobs. FOX 32

- ➤ Michael Carbery, CFA, is named Executive Director of the Catholic Education Foundation, which helps families access affordable Catholic education; he brings finance, banking, and fundraising expertise from DePaul University + longstanding local ties to guide its future efforts. Herald-News

- ➤ After a strong primary win, Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton has shifted her focus to GOP candidate Don Tracy in the Senate race. Stratton warned that Tracy’s plan to cut government services and add work requirements may fail to inspire voters who need access to healthcare and a livable wage. FOX 32
