Today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Joliet Police Dept, Inwood Golf Club, and Park District host the Fore the Flame Charity Golf Challenge at 3200 W. Jefferson St. Participants pay $20 and try to hit police car (about 100 yards away) to win raffle prizes for Special Olympics Illinois.
Men at Work, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Shonen Knife will perform on Friday, Aug. 7 at New Lenox Village Commons as part of the annual summer concert series; general admission tickets start at $50 and gates open at 5:30 p.m. with music at 6 p.m.
