- ➤ Reza's Auto Repair in Crest Hill is collecting toy donations for Westyn’s Wish, an annual drive honoring Westyn Genens that supports Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn. The drive, running since 2007, accepts toys until Dec. 19. Herald-News
- ➤ Will County elected officials will host a turkey and ham drive-thru giveaway on Thursday, Dec. 18 at the Romeoville Village Hall parking lot (1050 W. Rodeo Road) from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Residents can get one turkey or ham per household while supplies last. Herald-News

- ➤ Minooka Community High School Principal Jamie Soliman announced that 87 graduating seniors have been named Illinois State Scholars for strong academic performance based on test scores & class rank. Awardees will receive a congratulatory letter & a digital badge to commemorate their achievement. Herald-News
