- ➤ Lincoln-Way Central lost 2-1 in overtime on Monday at Lyons Township to St. Laurence after reaching the Super Sectionals for the first time in 19 years — senior injuries disrupted the game — and the team will regroup next season to aim for a state tournament spot. Herald-News
- ➤ Minooka ended its season with a 6-4 record and earned a Class 8A playoff spot after overcoming early setbacks when starter Zane Caves was injured+ the team rallied with a four-game win streak while Lincoln-Way East returned quarterback Jonas Williams for a 45-0 playoff win and Bolingbrook and Wilmington also advanced with strong running and scoring plays.
