CULTURE NEWS

  • The ballet Swan Lake will be performed by International Ballet Stars at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet—featuring Tchaikovsky’s score and custom scenery in two acts—and is presented by Classical Arts Entertainment.  Herald-News

  • On Friday, Nazareth won 42-16 over St. Francis in the CCL/ESCC game to clinch the Green Division title as Jackson Failla threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns while four players scored on the ground. The Roadrunners’ defense made six sacks and three turnovers (with junior Chris Kasky recording two sacks) to boost their record to 8-1.  Herald-News
  • Week 9 high school football saw Joliet Catholic hold off Providence 30 to 27 and Joliet West beat Joliet Central 60 to 12 in their season finales — local teams ended with mixed records.
