- ➤ An upcoming Joliet event will raise awareness for breast cancer and mental health while supporting local organizations by featuring an auction of artfully transformed vintage undergarments by 11 local artists. The Silver Lining Event will be held on Oct.25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Renaissance Center + it will include a student art contest, free raffles for survivors, and community resource tables. - ➤ Will County is hosting a fall textiles collection event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the County Office Building—302 N. Chicago St. in Joliet. County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant said clean items will be reused by a local nonprofit while those in poor condition will be recycled into insulation and factory rags. Herald-News
