- ➤ British guitarist Steve Hackett will perform a show that celebrates the 50th anniversary of Genesis's album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway at Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet on Thursday, November 6—he and his band will deliver selections of classic Genesis tunes and his best solos with tickets starting at $32.50. - ➤ On Oct. 16, a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of Bays Towers, a 140-apartment building in downtown Joliet developed by John Bays that converted a former public housing project. Local coffee shops have seen more customers and one plans to open a second location inside the building — further upgrades are planned to improve the project. Herald-News
