GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Illinois Department of Transportation shut down an I-80 ramp at Center St. in Joliet for emergency repairs on Monday—causing the eastbound ramp to North Center Street to close for a week and intermittent closures on the westbound ramp, while northbound Center St. between I-80 and Meadow Avenue remains closed until repairs finish. The ramps are expected to reopen by the evening rush hour on Oct. 6. Herald-News
