- ➤ The Joliet Area Historical Museum will host a screening of 'The Blues Brothers' on October 4 at Old Joliet Prison with tours beginning at 4 p.m.—food trucks, merchandise and beverages will be available to celebrate the film’s 45th anniversary. - ➤ Joliet Junior College alum Arron Sain won a Food Network competition on No Utensils Needed—aired July 22—and earned a year’s worth of groceries. Another JJC graduate, Liam Obrien, earned the title of Top Young Chef in the U.S. and will compete in world championships. Herald-News

- ➤ A season preview released today shows that South Suburban Blue teams are set to improve their offense and defense after last season with changes for Lemont, Hillcrest, T.F. North, and Oak Forest.
