Good morning, Joliet.

A suspect is in custody after allegedly hitting a Will County sheriff's patrol car at a Joliet gas station parking lot during a Friday night police chase that ended when his vehicle was disabled near the Homer Township intersection of 143rd Street and Interstate 355—deputies broke a window to handcuff him.

The Crest Hill Lindblad family marked the 10-year anniversary of Nick’s heart transplant, and the 24-year-old now works full time, attends college and will travel to Japan with his dad this fall.

A celebration is planned at their home on August 3 — a key milestone in his recovery.

On October 11th, 2024, Joliet Central ended a five-year winless streak by defeating Plainfield Central 37-17 and energized a young team under coach Thomas Hart—who celebrated the victory while expressing hope for more wins and a stronger season ahead.

The victory has set a positive tone as the team prepares for a renewed rivalry game later in the season.
