- ➤ Orland Township trustees voted to close the DMV at its 1,100-square-foot site on 149th Street, and the facility must be vacated in 90 days, which will force residents to travel to Joliet for services—state officials including Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias criticized the decision. Trustee Frank Williams said the move was not meant to remove the DMV completely, while Supervisor Paul O’Grady urged a public vote on the change. WGN-TV
