  • The Taste of Joliet festival drew big crowds on Saturday, the longest and warmest day of the year, at Busey Bank Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium—featuring more than 20 food vendors, a carnival and live music—as it concluded on Sunday.  Herald-News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 just south of Lemont Road early Sunday when troopers arrived at 3:25 a.m.—one person was taken to a nearby hospital as lanes remained closed until 9:15 a.m.  Herald-News

CRIME NEWS

  • Joliet police reported that a 15-year-old suspect shot three teens early Sunday in the 300 block of S. Ottawa Street—two of whom were taken to Loyola Children’s Hospital with one in critical condition—as investigators continue probing the incident.  FOX 32
  • Three teens were injured in a Joliet shooting reported at 5:30 a.m. Sunday on South Ottawa Street—one teen is in critical but stable condition—and police arrested a 15-year-old for reckless discharge while a 16-year-old was arrested in an earlier shooting on Sherman Street for aggravated discharge.  Herald-News
  • A three-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on I-55 south of Lemont Road in Lemont killed two people and injured one—Illinois State Police diverted traffic via I-355 and closed ramps to northbound I-55.  WGN-TV
