- ➤ One victim said a dice game argument escalated into gunfire at Riverwalk Homes on June 12, and officers arrested two men after hearing multiple shots near the Des Plaines River+investigators are still reviewing all details. Herald-News
- ➤ Two men—30-year-old Catrell Jordan and 32-year-old Jonathan Britton—were charged after exchanging gunfire outside Riverwalk Homes last week; both were hospitalized with gunshot wounds while a third man injured in the incident remains under police guard. FOX 32
- ➤ Joliet police said a pit bull bit an officer during the arrest of Jorge Medina—accused of pointing a rifle at neighbors and grabbing a shovel before fleeing—while officers recovered a muzzle loading rifle and later arrested him on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, disorderly conduct, and obstructing a police officer.
