Residents in the Joliet Catholic Academy area will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Croatian Cultural Club (1503 Clement St.) to discuss the proposed stadium plan, even after a planned vote was postponed.

City officials and JCA representatives are invited and residents plan to hand out 300 to 400 flyers to share more details.

Joliet police said three men were injured in a shooting outside Riverwalk Homes Apartments in the 300-block of North Broadway Street on Thursday night—one 30-year-old man is in serious condition while a 32-year-old and a 45-year-old received treatment for leg wounds and officers recovered a gun with two vehicles damaged.
