Good morning, Joliet. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 7th of June.

HEALTH NEWS

  • A 68-acre horse farm in Will County that once hosted harness racing is being turned into a supportive housing program for men recovering from substance use disorder—owner Jim O’Connor of the Second Story Foundation said residents will work in land management, maintenance, and horse care while benefiting from equine therapy. The project will also build a 7,000-square-foot lodge to house up to 15 men with additional stalls kept for harness racing horses if funding continues.  FOX 32
