Good morning, Joliet.

Joliet police charged a 15-year-old boy with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after he fatally shot a 13-year-old boy in an alley on Desplaines Street Monday — the suspect and victim knew each other and he remains in custody at the River Valley Justice Center.

State Rep. Janet Yang Rohr introduced a bill that would require grocery stores to offer paper coupons along with digital ones after shoppers faced glitches at checkout—consumers may miss advertised savings when coupons do not work.

The law will be reworked and reintroduced next spring to address concerns from retail groups.
