- ➤ Council members narrowly approved two new self-storage projects on Tuesday in Joliet. Menards will convert the old Bookie Magee site behind its Jefferson Street store into storage while Schelling’s third attempt will develop storage at the Drauden Road site near Gas N Wash. Herald-News

- ➤ On Friday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., New Day Employment Network partnered with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office + the Justice Alliance to offer free help with driver’s license and state ID processes at Joliet Public Library Downtown Branch, 150 N. Ottawa St. Herald-News
- ➤ Will County Workforce Services Division is hosting a job fair in its new Joliet office at 1300 Copperfield Ave today from 2 to 5 p.m., where over 20 local employers offer face-to-face career opportunities (update details may be available at the office). Herald-News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Local girls track teams will compete at the State Track and Field Finals at Eastern Illinois University’s O’Brien Stadium in Charleston from Thursday to Saturday with qualifiers from Joliet Central, Joliet West, Morris and others.
