Chicago St. in downtown Joliet where a man handed a teller a note demanding money and fled with cash—he is described as a Black male between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9 with a heavier build, wearing a black zip-up sweater, dark pants and white shoes.

A Will County judge denied pretrial release for Jaquan Blalock—age 19—charged with the first-degree murder of 16-year-old Antoine Shropshire, who was shot 25 times near a playground and community center on May 30.

Judge Sarah Jones ruled that Blalock must remain in jail under the SAFE-T Act to protect public safety.
