- ➤ The Joliet City Council voted 6-3 Tuesday to remove the longstanding residency requirement at Rock Run Residences on the edge of Joliet Junior College so Midwest REO can later broaden its tenant base — the change ends a rule set by a 2001 city agreement. Herald-News

- ➤ Local high school teams delivered an exciting sports roundup Tuesday. Joliet West rallied from a 7-run deficit to beat Plainfield South + several schools claimed wins in baseball, softball, volleyball and track events at their respective games. Herald-News
- ➤ In Tuesday's baseball game, Lincoln-Way East beat Joliet Catholic 4 to 2 as Rocco Triolo hit a homer and Ryne Pearson added a two-run single while sophomore pitcher Ryan Harris retired 10 batters to secure the win. Herald-News
