  • Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet will host a free screening of Laurel and Hardy’s 'Two Tars' with live organ music by Taylor Trimby on Tuesday, April 14 at 2 p.m.; tickets are available at the box office with a limit of four per person (first-come, first-served).  Herald-News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Traffic on I-355 between 127th Street and International Parkway near Lemont is shifting lanes today as the tollway begins bridge and pavement repairs for its seven-year Bridging the Future plan, and additional lane reductions will continue through the fall according to the Illinois Tollway Authority.  Herald-News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Chloe Miner's grand slam propelled Minooka to a 17-2 win over Joliet Catholic on Tuesday in a nonconference softball game. The team gathered 13 hits and scored early to secure the victory.  Herald-News
  • Minooka defeated host Joliet Central on Monday, April 6 in Joliet — Gavin McReynolds made a key connection during the game.  Herald-News
  • In Tuesday's game, the Wilmington Wildcats rallied for an 8-1 win against Herscher, with Cooper Holman’s grand slam and Ryan Kettman pitching five strong innings + three hits to sweep the series in a key matchup.  Herald-News
