- ➤ The city of Joliet is asking companies to propose ideas for two downtown buildings — one is the ready-to-use former MyGrain space and the other is the historic Loughran Building that once held a comedy club. Proposals for the Loughran Building are due on March 21 while ideas for the MyGrain space will be accepted until April 18 as the city works to revive its downtown area. Herald-News
- ➤ A lawsuit filed by Equip for Equality and the law firm Much accuses the Illinois Department of Corrections of leaving 21 disabled prisoners behind when it closed Stateville Correctional Center in 2024, forcing some into unsanitary conditions and leading to one death in January. The suit demands an injunction to transfer the remaining nine men and calls for reforms to ensure IDOC complies with federal disability rights laws — IDOC has not yet responded. FOX 32
