  • Downtown Joliet will host its 4th annual Shamrock Stroll on Friday, March 13, including a free concert by Classical Blast in Kilts (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) at the Joliet Area Historical Museum; the band will perform traditional Irish and Scottish tunes with covers of rock hits.  Herald-News

  • Marquette softball team will build on last season's 26-win regional championship win as coach Curtiss Johnson leads a young yet experienced roster that includes key juniors and sophomores; the team will retool its play + learn from both strong and below-average days + to improve consistency in the upcoming season.  Herald-News
