GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ IDOT will begin the next phase of the 16-mile I-80 construction project in early March at the Chicago Street Interchange in Joliet. Chicago Street will operate with one lane each way between Doris Avenue and McDonough Street, and drivers should expect heavy traffic for about a month. ABC7 Chicago
- ➤ I-DOT will rebuild the Des Plaines River bridge on I-80 as lane shifts and traffic delays affect Joliet drivers. The $1.3 billion project, part of a corridor upgrade that has repaved 80% of the roadway & includes work on over 30 bridges, is scheduled for completion in 2028. FOX 32

- ➤ Providence secured the Class 3A Hillcrest Sectional championship by beating Hillcrest 72-44 on Thursday, Feb. 26 in Hillcrest. The team proudly posed with its championship plaque after the game. Herald-News
