- ➤ Celtic Woman is set to perform (A New Era) at Rialto Square Theatre on Saturday, Apr. 4 in Joliet. The show will feature new orchestrations with traditional Irish music and tickets start at $39.50. Herald-News

- ➤ Joliet Central and West high schools raised $1,321 at the annual Takedown Cancer event on Jan. 15 during a wrestling match to honor former coach Pat O’Connell, who died from lung cancer in 2019. Herald-News

- ➤ Woodland boys basketball earned its first conference championship since 1979 after Jaron Follmer, who received 82.3% of 113 votes, was named The Times Athlete of the Week. He posted 21 points (7 assists, 9 rebounds) and will play against Somonauk soon. Herald-News
- ➤ Woodland senior Nolan Price celebrated turning 18 on Monday by hitting four consecutive 3 pointers before halftime—breaking his school’s single-season scoring record—in a 70 to 25 win over Earlville. The Warriors will face Henry-Senachwine at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Herald-News
