- ➤ Joliet Junior College board will consider a $3 per credit hour tuition increase proposal at its meeting next Wednesday that would raise rates from $151 to $154 to help fund a new campus and cover financial gaps + board members remain divided over the proposal amid rising expenses. Herald-News

- ➤ On Saturday, local student athletes shone at sectional tournaments; Providence wrestlers claimed seven titles while several teams in wrestling + basketball + track posted key results. The competitions, held in nearby venues, set the stage for state events next week. Herald-News
