- ➤ Joliet West girls bowling captured the sectional title at Town and Country Lanes on Friday with senior Emily Michon posting a 1,194 series, and teammates Gianna Mendoza, Mia Antomez, Malorie Berry, and Samantha French qualified for state next weekend (Minooka placed second and Lincoln-Way West also qualified). - ➤ In Friday night's boys basketball game, Plainfield South won 49-42 over Joliet Central as Isaiah Robertson scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds, finishing with a game-sealing dunk in the final minute. Herald-News
- ➤ Lincoln-Way West ended an eight-game road skid with a 51—44 win at Bradley-Bourbonnais Friday night. Senior forward Eiden Kubilius led with 16 points as key plays from Aidan Bach and Drake Been secured the Warriors' first win there in 10 years. Herald-News
- ➤ Lockport senior Addie Way shined on Feb. 12 as she scored a career-high 19 points on senior night to push the Porters to a 50-42 win against York at Lockport Township High (following her December recovery). Herald-News
