- ➤ Four Joliet Central students advanced to the IHSA speech sectionals after winning regional events; senior Aida Valdovinos, juniors Ayanna Jackson and Mia Buss, and freshman Coriana Kelly will compete on Saturday at Morris High School for a chance to qualify for state championships. Herald-News

- ➤ Joliet Catholic wrapped up its regular season with a 55-33 win over Bishop McNamara on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the school gym (highlighting Abby Dulinsky’s breakaway play). Herald-News
- ➤ Joliet Central student Maverick Lewis won three state archery titles last weekend at the State Indoor Championships held at DuPage County Fairgrounds and Rigney’s School of Archery (he set a new U18 record in the 25-meter event) and he will compete next at the USA Archery Indoor Nationals.
