- ➤ MorningStar Mission will hold its annual Culinary Caravan on Thursday, March 12 in the Frankfort area. Participants will board a school bus at 5:30 p.m. from The Loft (15 Ash St.) to dine at local bistros before finishing with dessert back at The Loft. Herald-News
- ➤ Bishop Hicks was installed as archbishop of New York Friday, leaving the Joliet diocese without a confirmed interim leader - officials did not clarify whether auxiliary bishop Dennis Spies will manage the transition until a new bishop is named. Herald-News

- ➤ Joliet West girls bowling team won the Minooka Regional on Friday at Channahon Lanes by finishing 731 pins ahead of second place & scoring five games with over 1,000 pins to secure a spot at sectionals next weekend at Joliet Town & Country Lanes. Herald-News
- ➤ On Saturday, Lincoln-Way East won the Class 3A state cheerleading title with a score of 97.92 (Morris claimed the Class 2A crown with 96.60), marking notable state-level success for both schools. Herald-News
- ➤ Joliet West won its ninth straight game by defeating Plainfield East 76—61 on Friday with a strong second-quarter surge. Senior forward Ryan Lipke scored 19 points as the team kept its momentum on the court. Herald-News
- ➤ In Friday high school sports, Lincoln-Way Central won at Tinley Park with Nick Brzezniak scoring 22 points in a 48-46 victory while Morris edged Kaneland 60-56 at Maple Park + other local teams posted close results in competitive matchups. Herald-News
- ➤ On Saturday, Lincoln-Way girls wrestling team dominated the East Aurora regional tournament by scoring 271 points—131.5 more than second-place Plainfield South, with six wrestlers in championship matches and eight advancing to sectionals. Herald-News
