➤ Residents and parents voiced opposition to district plans to close A.O. Marshall Elementary School (319 Harwood St.) after a Jan. 8 hearing, urging officials to repair issues instead of shutting it down. The district will decide on its future on Feb. 11 at Lynne Thigpen Elementary School. Herald-News
